Do I need a credit card to start the free trial?
No. You can sign up and use Spots for 14 days completely free with no payment information required. You will only be asked for billing details when you choose to upgrade to a paid plan.
What happens when my trial ends?
At the end of your 14-day trial, your storefront will be paused until you select a plan. All your data — products, settings, and orders — is retained for 30 days. You will not lose anything.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan at any time?
Yes. You can upgrade instantly and the price difference is prorated for the current billing cycle. Downgrading takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
What are platform transaction fees and how are they charged?
In addition to your monthly subscription, Spots charges a small percentage fee on each order processed through your storefront. The rate depends on your plan: 2.5% on Basic, 2% on Premium, and 1.5% on Pro. These fees are deducted from your order proceeds before disbursement.
Can I use my own domain instead of a spots.com subdomain?
Yes — custom domain mapping is available on the Premium and Pro plans. You point your domain's DNS records to Spots and we handle the SSL certificate automatically.
What payment processors does Spots support?
Spots currently integrates with Paystack (for Nigeria and African markets) and Stripe (for international payments). Both are available on all plans. Additional processors will be added as we expand to new regions.
Is there a setup fee or any hidden charges?
No setup fees, no hidden charges. You pay your monthly or annual subscription plus the platform transaction fee on orders. That's it.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
If you cancel, your storefront goes offline at the end of your paid period. Your data is retained for 90 days, during which you can reactivate. After 90 days, data is permanently deleted. You can also request immediate deletion by emailing privacy@spots.com.
